Riz Kermalli began his logistics career as a courier driver in New York in the 80s after migrating from his hometown of Zanzibar.
With his car and just enough money for one month’s rent, he moved to Canada and began a messenger company with a couple of friends.
Riz started up Canada Worldwide Services, the soon-to-be parent company of eShipper.
After noticing that little innovation was taking place in the logistics industry at a time when the internet was becoming more affordable, Riz founded eShipper as an online solution to help make carrier rate comparison less time consuming.
Over the years, he was able to build strong relationships and negotiate rates with the world’s most trusted carriers. He built a rate-comparison shipping platform that allowed a user to ship in just 3 clicks.
eShipper processes over 1 million packages each year and supports over 17,000 customers.
