MOA founded in 2008, is a professional architectural consultancy firm which is committed to design excellence, innovation and quality service, at all levels of operation, from conceptualization, production or project management. Our philosophy is to apply sophisticated, creative and efficient solutions to our work based on the client’s needs and visions.
MOA possesses understanding of architectural and construction standards, local by-laws and local authority requirements. We take pride in the successful completion of projects from our past experience ranging from private residences to large scaled housing /apartments, from small retail shops to commercial shopping centres.
Director
Graduated from the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) Skudai, Johor Bahru with a Bachelor Degree of Architecture in year 2003, Tan Ewe Liat accumulated his early working experience through several architectural firms in Penang during his professional training.
Since 2004, he joined architectural practices in Kuala Lumpur aiming to broaden his exposure and experience. He was involved in projects within various stages, from schematic design to in-design development requirements and guidelines through intensive liaison with different local authorities. Well equipped with the strong design flair, he then further his architectural practice of the administrative scope ,with emphasis on contract administrative works under the guidance of the Principal.
In year 2005, he was involved in the master planning design for a province in China, in collaboration with the local Chinese architects. He was promoted in year 2007 as senior executive and was given the opportunity to participate in construction implementation and management for an award winning high-end condominium in Kuala Lumpur. As the project team leader, he established his skills in site co-ordination among the overseas design firms, local practicing consultants, and foreign renowned construction specialists.
During his tenure of employment, he has completed various private houses, residential and commercial projects, with participation ranging from schematic design to site implementation.
As a co-founder of MOA Associates Sdn Bhd in year 2009, backed with a strong foundation, he is now ready to perform and uphold strong Quality Excellence of work. He had since set the office management and drawing management system, in preparation towards enhancement of Quality and Productivity of the firm.
Director
Graduated with an Architecture degree from University Sains Malaysia in 2001. He has worked in Architectural Practices in Penang and Kuala Lumpur, thus has further understanding of development requirements of different states within Malaysia.
He then joined the Developer’s office and led the In-house design teams, comprising of experts from various disciplines. His gamut of experience ranged from conceptual design to site implementation of various residential and resort projects. During the period, he has also been personally involved in the construction management of the projects.
After wide experience in Development and Construction Management, he has in 2005 joined the established Architectural Practice and has completed various projects such as condominiums, bungalows, shop offices, to mention a few, under the guidance of the directors. His ability and management skills are recognized by the company and was promoted as an Associate in year 2008
He believed and placed emphasis in Quality of Work via Quality Procedures and played an instrumental role in establishing the ISO processes for the Firm, the ingredient of success for Implementation of Projects.
He joined the Firm in 2012, and placed particular emphasis in construction technology and contract implementation while implementing and improving the Quality procedures. The Quality procedures have and will serve as the back bone of the Firm.
Director
Cherng Yih received his architecture degree from RMIT University, Melbourne in 2002. Before he joined MOA Architects in 2014, Cherng Yih gained his industrial experience while working in several renowned international offices in Melbourne, Shanghai and London. Cherng Yih also teaches at the graduate school of architecture at Taylor’s University Malaysia. He is currently a licensed architect under Board of Architects Malaysia and a facilitator for Green Building Index.
