I’ve been in the seal coating industry since 1994 I have seen and learned everything there is to know about the business. In 2003, I read an article in the Chicago Tribune about the harmful effects of coal tar. A study was done in a suburb right outside of Chicago (Lake in the Hills). The article stated that coal tar was toxic and should not be used. Coal-Tar causes cancers like leukemia and other diseases. Coal tar flakes off and gets tracked into homes. Coal tar also kills the aquatic life
