Batteries was establised in 1974, founded by 'Ah Lek' and first started at 217 Upper Thomson Road. Subsequently joined by son 'Chuan' when he was only 17 years old at that time.
In 1985, Tai Huat Tyres & Batteries have moved to 246P Upper Thomson Road till today 2019. Both Ah Lek and Chuan are well known as a father and son duo in the area for 40 over years and have gain customers trust, bonded relationship with residents and gained much friendship.
In the 40 over years, Tai Huat Tyres & Batteries have gone through its ups and downs, with even the glory of opening its second branch however closed shortly after due to inefficient manpower and low sales.
In the current year, 2019 Ah lek will be planning on retirement, with Chuan leading Tai Huat Tyres & Batteries. He will also be guiding along with a 3rd gen (son and daughter) on continuing the legacy of Tai Huat Tyres & Batteries.
May 2019, Tai Huat Tyres & Batteries is also relocated from Upper Thomson Road to Sin Ming Road
