Two amazing cars in the high-performance wagon segment: the ALPINA B3 G21 and the BMW M3 G81 Touring, each catering to enthusiasts who love power, luxury, and practicality.
ALPINA B3 G21 with Brondex Downpipes
Engine & Performance: The ALPINA B3 uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-6 (similar to the BMW M3 S58) with 462 hp and 700 Nm of torque. This gives it immense low-end torque and smooth power delivery. Adding Brondex downpipes enhances exhaust flow, reducing back pressure, and often increasing power and turbo spool sound. It also gives a much louder, more aggressive exhaust note and could result in a bit more horsepower depending on tuning.
BMW M3 G81 Touring
Engine & Performance: The M3 G81 uses the 3.0-liter twin-turbo S58 inline-6, generating 510 hp and 650 Nm of torque in the Competition variant.
Handling & Driving Dynamics: The M3 has a stiffer suspension, more aggressive power delivery, and sharper handling. It's equipped with M-specific chassis enhancements like adaptive dampers, active M differential, and M-specific traction control settings for track use.
Transmission: 8-speed M Steptronic automatic or the option for a 6-speed manual in some M3 variants (though the Touring typically gets the automatic).
Exhaust and Sound: With Brondex downpipes, the ALPINA B3 will have a much more aggressive exhaust tone compare to the BMW M3 G81 with stock exhaust. If you appreciate a more refined, comfortable, yet still powerful experience, the ALPINA B3 with its Brondex upgrade offers a unique blend of luxury and enhanced sportiness.
